Delight: 2 Peter: Prayers and Poetry

                Delight 

                We easily recognize

                 the lavished love

                 poured out on Jesus

                 by His Father

                 with delight.

                 We often cannot

                  though see we are also

                  poured out with His love

                   bought by mercy and healing

                   with delight.

Psalm 89:37: "It shall be established forever like the moon, And the witness in the sky is faithful." Selah.

2nd Peter 1:15-17: "Indeed I'm passionate to share these things with you so that you will always remember them after my exodus from this life. We were not retelling some masterfully crafted legend when we informed you of the power and appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, for we saw His magnificence and splendor unveiled before our very eyes. Yes, Father God lavished upon Him radiant glory and honor when His distinct voice spoke out of the realm of majestic glory, endorsing Him with these words: 'This is My cherished Son, marked by My love. All my delight is found in Him!'"

Unveil

Thank you  Lord that You speak and teach into each of us Your words and Your presence so that we can meet You one by one. Not only stories but ongoing relationships.

Please keep us listening for Your specific words on Your path in Your time. We are in such need of Your directions so that we may learn to live into Your purpose. Too often we struggle to recognize, or receive, that Your gift of love is for each of us.

Please guiding us to speak only Your words to ourselves and to others; to live into Your glory and light.

May our hearts yearn to listen and grow under Your care.

                Today a gift of grace.

2nd Peter 1:11-14: "As a result the kingdom gates will open wide to you as God choreographs your triumphant entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Messiah. I won't hesitate to continually remind you of these truths, even though you are aware of them and are well established in the present measure of truth you have already embraced. And as long as I live I will continue to awaken you with this reminder, since our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One, has clearly revealed that my departure is near."

Today

All our times are in Your hands, Lord, whether we sometimes recognize it or not. In action or in stillness.

We need to keep listening to Your words and Your directions.

We need to stay on Your path and use all our time under Your directions. To walk with commitment. To hear Your words in our soul.

Thank you for Your ongoing presence and mercy and protection in all circumstances--from sorrow to joy.

Thank you for Your ongoing gift and promise that we will not be separated from You in life or death.

Please keep us each walking in Your truths in all circumstances with trust every moment of every day.
