Yokes: 1 John: Prayers and Poetry

                Yokes

                Too often we cringe
                at the needs around us
too busy, or too uncomfortable so
                allow excuses to turn away.

                Yet He never walks
away from us no matter the
yoke but offers kindness, words, deeds,
                and always stands in prayer.

Today one of His beloved needs hope.

Psalm 107:13: "Then they  cried out to the Lord in their trouble; He saved them out of their distress."

Reflection: Necessitate: 1 John: Prayers and Poetry

Reflection Questions

        1. When has someone turned their heart against you when you were in need? What was the consequent? Physically, or emotionally, or both?

        2. When have you turned your heart away from someone in need? Why? And how did it affect your own heart with that choice?

        3. How can we still help when we do not have the abilities to support in actions?

Share: When have you received kindness in even a small need that caused a kind gift of help?

Necessitate: 1 John: Prayers and Poetry

Reading: 1st John 3:16-18: We know love by this, that He laid done His life for us; and we ought to lay done our lives for the brethren. But who so ever has the world's goods, and beholds his brother in need and closes his heart against him, how does the love of God abide in him? Little children, let us not love with word or with tongue, but in deed and truth.

Necessitate

No matter the depth of lost.

No matter the depth of brokenness.

No matter the depth of cruelty.

He will heal, can heal, the seemingly impossible.

He will forgive, will restore, will open a new life.

He gave His life to save each one.

Thank you, Lord, for Your ongoing love to each one of us no matter how deeply we have wandered into darkness. In all situations that we fall into.

Thank you for Your kindness and mercy and love and healing and truth waiting to bring Your love into our hearts moment by moment.

Your thoughts,
