Set before us

a plain man

no appearance to

draw our attention.

Yet as the tabernacle

riches were cloaked

in badger skins

so he muted his glory.

Became mankind’s

reversed Abraham’s

ram for son.

covered us with

sacrificial love.

Isaiah 53:2, “He had no form or majesty that we should look at him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.”
