Tabernacle

Appearance

Set before us

a plain man

no appearance to

draw our attention.

Yet as the tabernacle

riches were cloaked

in badger skins

so he muted his glory.

Became mankind’s

burnt-offering

reversed Abraham’s

ram for son.

Substitution

covered us with

sacrificial love.

Isaiah 53:2, “He had no form or majesty that we should look at him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.”
