Tabernacle


Gems

First set carried on

priest’s breastplate

judgment held on his

heart each jewel engraved,

carried into

Holy of Holies on

day of Atonement.


Second undergirds

foundation

every jewel gleams

within the wall

precious stones the

ancient affirmation

of His love

from beginning

blazes.


Revelation 21:19, “The foundation stones of the city wall were adorned with every kind of precious stone.”

Spices

Bought at shekel value

blended by perfumer’s skill

fragrant holy oil

for the Lord.


Casia, myrrh five hundred worth

Cane, sweet smelling cinnamon,

anointed worship, pouring on

Aaron and priests.


Consecrate service throughout

covenant generations

personal assignment

purchased by God.


Sweet spices rise as incense

seasoned with salt

beaten powder

brings healing blend to all nations.


Exodus 30: “nor shall you make any like it in the same proportions; it is holy and it shall be holy to you.”

Appearance


Set before us

a plain man

no appearance to

draw our attention.


Yet as the tabernacle

riches were cloaked

in badger skins

so he muted his glory.


Became mankind’s

burnt-offering

reversed Abraham’s

ram for son.


Substitution

covered us with

sacrificial love.


Isaiah 53:2, “He had no form or majesty that we should look at him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.”

price whether rich or poor

designated Lord’s offering

service at tent of meeting.


Thirty pieces of silver

bought betrayal

blood money. Ransom

price whether rich or poor

precious life offering

reconciliation purchased.


Exodus 25:3, “This is the offering that you shall receive.”

Scepter


Authority from God

alone to raise up

ruler’s staff.


Risen through Israel

Judah’s scepter of

Jesus’ inheritance,

eternal reign.


His power given to

heal broken humanity

baptized in His name

bound by love’s obedience.


Genesis 49:10, “The scepter shall not depart from Judah; nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet,”

Scarlet


Sin hardened hearts

pump crimson blood

through our days

choose self-camouflage.


Stripped beaten body

wears scarlet robe

public denunciation

crushes sacrifice.


Sprinkled blood

whitens as snow

heart pours grace

covers every breath.


Matthew 27:28, “They stripped him and put a scarlet robe on him.”

Rod


Under the line of

Melchizedek alone

can true measure be taken, a

rod that bears fruit.


Carefully nurtured from

bud to blossom to bounty.


Under the line of

Melchizedek, Christ alone,

can true discipleship bear

eternal fruit.


Cultivated by love

Spirit to heart to witness.

White Robe


Clothed in salvation garments

Covered in robe of righteousness

His authority written promise

Hands to anointed

Washed by sacrifice

Wear white robes

Cleansed by His blood

Consecrated in worship.


Revelation 7:14, “they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.”
