Priests fully covered

protected from naked

guilt, death,

during mediation

of repeated confessions.

Chosen vulnerability

stripped of glory

wore humanity’s shame.

Carried our nakedness

in His holiness

guilt, death,

cancelled on cross

High Priest’s clothing.

Hebrews 9: 24, “For Christ did not enter a sanctuary made by human hands, a mere copy of the true one, but he entered into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God on our behalf.”

access way, truth, life.

love’s obedience.

Cloud of Glory

No darkness so thick

that God’s light cannot

penetrate to give His

counsel, show a clear

path through wilderness

confusion. Speaks

His presence,

prepares a path

for all.

Day and night

covered.

Exodus 13: 22, “He did not take away the pillar of cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night, from before the people.”

accept grace.

open to receive

spring’s word

working resurrection.

Power, majesty

beginning, middle, end

spoken.

Brass

Sting of the serpent

brought death to Israel

in the desert.

Stain of sin

flows steadily

through the ages

through the cities

through hearts

corrupted, crusted.

Scorched Lamb

burnished judgment

brings deliverance.

Rev 1:15 “…his feet were like burnished bronze, refined as in a furnace.”

scroll in the Lord’s house

as a witness to all

generations.

Spoken as a reminder

every seven years;

citizen, alien, adult, child

none exempt.

Knowledge of rebellion

judgment’s call

written in each memory.

Word worthy to break

seal, release bondage.

Worship resonates

new commandment

echoes beginnings

relationship restored.

“They sing a new song.”

Jeremiah 32: 6-12, “Word of the Lord came to me….Then I knew it was the word of the Lord.”
