Transgression: 1 John: Prayers and Poetry

                Transgression 

                Lies, hatred, revenge

                condemnation, all only a

    

                few sins that can daily

                become unrighteousness

                pulling away from clarity

                and honesty into resentment

                to others forgetting we

                too commit these choices

                ourselves when we turn from 

                God's will and grace and mercy

                yet He will protect us

                from evil when we remember

                Love given by His death offers healing.

Psalm 107: 28: "Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, And He brought them out of their distresses."

Reading: 1st John 5:16-18: "If anyone sees his brother committing a sin not leading to death, he shall ask  and God will for him give life to those who commit sin not leading to death. There is a sin leading to death; I do not say that he should make request for this. All unrighteousness is sin, and there is a sin not leading to death. We know that no one who is born of God sins; but He who was born of God keeps him and the evil one does not touch him."

Unrighteousness

Lord, we each desperately need Your guidance and mercy. We need forgiveness daily as we too often sin without even recognizing the transgressions we allow.

Please teach us clarity and honesty within us and remind us when we forget, or do not see.

Keep us from the lies to ourselves and to others. Remove our hatred and condemnations toward others. And all any other wrong actions and attitudes that we still carry within us.

We ask for Your healing--daily.

Reading:1st John 5:13-15: "These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, in order that you may know that you have eternal life. And this is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him.

Your gifts of presence and guidance and invitation to come to You in all things is beyond any measure we can understand.

Please keep our desires to be Your desires and that we will step into each one with awe and anticipation and focus.

Please edit our requests, Lord, so that each one is only as You choose and lead. We ask to walk with You everyday. And share with those around us.

                Gift of light and

                accepts this blessing

                of eternal life to begin

                at the moment of belief.

                Never taken away or

                ignored or broken from

                Holy grace, Spirit present

                no matter how weak

                our trust or understanding

                eternal life and light provision.
